The Fire Prevention Division is dedicated to providing the highest level of public safety service to our community by reducing fire hazards and protecting lives and property. Fire prevention education is the foundation of the Fire Department’s commitment to keeping our citizens safe.
Our office issues permits and certificates and processes inspection requests, including smoke and carbon monoxide alarm compliance inspections required for the sale or transfer of residential property. We also provide fire safety and prevention education to the public.
